Con le riprese che stanno per iniziare, Deadline riporta che l’attore candidato al Tony Award James Cusati-Moyer ( Prodigal Son ; Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ) si è unito al cast di Black Adam .
Il film sarà interpretato da Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson ( Hobbs & Shaw ; Jungle Cruise ; Red Notice ) nel ruolo principale, che farà il suo debutto cinematografico sui supereroi come antieroe titolare, e introdurrà anche la Justice Society of America in ruoli chiave di supporto.
Ulteriori dettagli sul ruolo di Cusati-Moyer sono attualmente tenuti nascosti, quindi non è chiaro se finirà per stare con Teth-Adam (Johnson) o atterrerà dalla parte opposta.
Jaume Collet-Serra ( Jungle Cruise ; Non-Stop ; The Commuter ) dirigerà con una sceneggiatura di Rory Haines ( Informer ; The Mauritanian ) e Sohrab Noshirvani ( Informer ; The Mauritanian ). Adam Sztykiel ( Rampage ; Due Date ; Scoob! ) Ha scritto la prima bozza del film.
